Happy Travels

And the most exciting event for that Sunday 13 June – I fly out at 11.30a to Singapore and then skip off to Frankfurt.

I am building this blog for a couple of reasons one of which is to learn what a blog is and does; and the second is to communicate!

So first important touchdown

Frankfurt Germany

I meet Wolfgang and Irmi

friends who are presently visiting Australia, touring from Darwin to the Kimberleys, Broome etc. Anyhow, their flight is due in 1/2 an hour before me and from there we train to

Regensburg

where we stay for a couple of days with Wolfgang\’s brother. And then drive to their place in

Kempten Bavaria

down south west of Munich. I visited them 5 years ago and then hopped out of the train to be flattened by the Alps, what a vision – snow capppping them to be fairytale. Now it\’ll be summer and it is a different view and feeling.  Acres and acres of very green  tall grasses, cattle with bells of different sizes  on a leather belt around their necks, all the time clanking and clanging,  a most beautiful sound.  Wonder what  the effect it has on their hearing and comfort for when they move their head at any time, there goes the bell.

And fom 25 June I will fly to Paris for a month in France or Spain or whatever takes my fancy. More about this later.
